Headteacher’s Updates

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update:

Update from Ms Member, 25th March 2020

Assalamu Alaykum,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and lmaan

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our school continues to operate at this time of crisis. As of next week we will be reducing our staff to a minimum to help supervise a small number of children whose parents are classed as essential workers and we have implemented social distancing measures within school where practical.

We are grateful to all parents and carers who are making arrangements to supervise children at home and we recognise this may be a challenge.
We are maintaining online lessons and our staff are working very hard to keep to their scheduled timetable that has been implemented to ensure E-Learning takes place for all our students. All full time staff are available online in the morning between 10am – 12pm and again in the afternoon between 2pm – 4pm please note hours will differ for our part time staff.

Currently we have large numbers of staff who are self-isolating for one reason or another and we are grateful to them for making the effort in continuing to teach, particularly if they are supervising sick relatives or children.

We are very aware that not everyone has access to a screen in each household therefore, we are busy compiling G-slides for students to access as well as collating work books which insha’Allah will be available shortly.

Updates will be sent via the school communication email address but predominantly via the school website.

Finally, I urge you to all adhere to the social distancing guidance issued by the government and keep your child at home. Some will be tempted to leave the house and see their friends and family and I ask for your support in ensuring this does not happen. We will endeavour to keep you updated on further developments as they occur in this very fast moving and ever evolving situation. Thank you for your continued support.

We pray sincerely to Allah to keep everyone in good health. Please stay safe and follow all government guidelines, we request for your humble du’aas during this difficult time.

Please note; all inquiries to be sent via email to info@quwwatulislam.com

Yours sincerely,

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: School Closure From Thursday 19th March 2020

Update from Ms Member, 19th March 2020

Message to parents/carers: Please pick up your child’s home learning pack between 10am and 1pm today. If you are unable to pick it up at this time then rest assured that the school will contact you over the next few days and provide your child with the necessary login details to gain access to their homework online using Google Classrooms.
JazakAllah Khair

Assalamu Alaykum,

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and Imaan. RE: School Closure

We continue to follow advice received from the Department for Education and Public Health England. In line with government guidance regarding safeguarding and the health and safety of students, we have made the decision to close the school. This decision has been made in light of the fact that a number of our staff members have been advised to self-isolate. It is important at this stage to note that we do not have any confirmed COVID –19 cases at the school. After careful consultation with the SLT and the Trustee Management, we have collectively decided that it would be in the best interest of all our students and staff to close the school indefinitely as of Thursday 19th March 2020. This will remain in effect until we receive further direction from the DfE and Public Health England.

Please be rest assured that the staff have been working diligently to ensure plans are in place for a school closure. Alhamdulillah, we have created google classroom access for every student which will enable all our students to access learning remotely from home. In the following days, all students will be provided with their unique google classroom login/password details via email Insha’Allah. However, if you are able to physically collect the passwords/learning packs, please feel free to collect paper copies from the main office tomorrow and Friday between the hours, 10am – 4pm. All information regarding the latest news will be regularly updated on the school website: www.quwwatulislam.com

Jazakallah Khair in advance for your continuous support and understanding during this unprecedented time, sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We pray sincerely to Allah to keep everyone in good health. Please stay safe and follow all government guidelines, we request for your humble du’aas during this difficult time.
