Curriculum Statement
At Quwwat ul Islam Girls’ School, we believe a curriculum should be designed to maximise pupils’ life chances and should be pupil- centered, using pupils’ needs and lived experiences as its starting point.
The QUIGS Curriculum comprises of the EYFS Curriculum and the National Curriculum for both Primary and Secondary aged pupils. The Curriculum was initially inspired by the EYFS framework and is underpinned by four key learning drivers:
“Caring for Ourselves, Caring for Our World, Caring for Our Education and Caring for Our Rights”.
Each learning driver will be achieved through individual character development strands. It is in the spirit of these four learning drivers and character development strands that staff and leaders at Quwwat-ul-Islam Girls’ School are driven in the desire to enrich learners to the wonders of our world, school community and wider communities.
Through the four key learning drivers, we will ensure that education at Quwwatul Islam Girls’ School meets all the needs of our pupils. The Quwwat ul Islam Girls’ school curriculum is specifically designed to:
- Enhance pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
- Promote fundamental British and Islamic values
- Develop strong literacy and numeracy skills so that pupils have a global outlook and are ready and confident for the next stage of their lives.
