At Quwwatul Islam Girls School we strongly believe that every child has the right to high quality education that can help them achieve their potential, regardless of their starting point. We are an inclusive school, we use a number of approaches to teaching that support all children and their different learning styles.

Message from our SENCO

As the SENCO at Quwwatul Islam Girls’ School, I am beyond thrilled to have been given this position and feel honoured and happy to join such a motivating and supportive institution.

I have nine years of teaching experience and am a certified Special Educational Needs Coordinator. I’ve received praise from our Newham area SENCO for introducing new ideas and putting into practise interactive activities that are open to all children with support from our Newham area SENCO.

In order to assist your child’s educational and wellbeing needs, I will be working closely with parents and taking on board your views and thoughts. For parents with SEND needs I hold termly review meetings and hold monthly SEND Surgeries where parents and carers are welcome to attend and discuss any matters they may have regarding their child’s learning.

We also have a great team working closely to support children with educational needs through our intervention programs daily.

Mrs S Chowdhury.
