November is Islamophobia Awareness Month, aimed at raising awareness about our Muslim students while celebrating their culture and religion.
Founded in 2012 by a group of Muslim organisations, the aim of the month is to showcase contributions of Muslims in our society, to raise awareness about Islamophobia, and to suggest steps we can take to help our students and colleagues.
The theme for this year is ‘Seeds of Change‘. The goal of the campaign is to emphasise the importance of how small actions contribute to big change. Whether it’s starting a conversation, participating in a workshop or attending a talk, we can all plant seeds that help tackle islamophobia.
