For 2025-2026 Student RE Matters is running an exciting year investigating Belief in Action – finding out about religion and beliefs in action helping the local community in Newham.

Some of our Year 9 students had a wonderful opportunity to visit two local churches to gain an insight into the charities and services they offer for the community. During their visit, the students learned how these churches support people in need through food banks, counselling services, youth groups, and outreach programmes. This experience helped them understand the importance of community work and the positive impact that different faith groups can have on society. The visit also encouraged the students to reflect on the value of compassion, service, and helping others.
