During the 2025–2026 academic year, Student RE Matters is running an exciting programme exploring Belief in Action, which focuses on learning about different religions and beliefs and how they support the local community in Newham.
As part of this initiative, some of our Year 9 students had the opportunity to visit St Bonaventure’s School along with students from other local schools. The visit included a range of engaging sessions exploring religion and beliefs within the Newham community, as well as opportunities to learn about the important work carried out by local charities.
On Tuesday 3rd March 2026, the Year 9 students met and spoke with people from different faith backgrounds. They interviewed them about their beliefs and learned how their faith inspires them to support and serve their communities. The experience provided students with valuable insights into how belief can influence positive action in society.
