The Year 11 GCSE Geography field trip took place on Wednesday 3rd December 2025.
The session was led by specialist providers from the Field Studies Council (FSC), who are based in Epping Forest and have extensive experience delivering high-quality GCSE Geography fieldwork. The visit formed an essential part of the GCSE Geography course and supported students in developing the fieldwork skills required for their examinations.
The majority of the fieldwork was conducted at Debden Brook, where students had the opportunity to investigate and learn about river processes and pressures. Students carried out a range of practical fieldwork activities, including data collection and analysis, which helped them to understand how rivers operate and how these processes are influenced by both natural factors and human activity.
